Intensive or condensed therapy is therapy that is delivered over a shorter period of time. This might be with longer sessions or over blocks of time. We tend to offer half or full day blocks following an initial assessment to discuss what will work best for you. This can be offered online or in person in my Hull clinic.
Taking an intensive approach has multiple benefits for certain people. It means you can work through your problems, things you have been feeling stuck on or trauma-related difficulties for example, in a focused and dedicated space avoiding disruptions and distractions. You can take time out to focus just on your needs, in order to accelerate your recovery and progress.
We may use a variety of approaches woven into the intensive therapy to suit your needs, but we will most likely use EMDR to offer that extra boost to the process – to help you work through limiting beliefs or impactful experiences, that are holding you back as well as trauma-related memories where appropriate.
